FlexView 42°/24° and FlexView 24°/14°

FlexView DFOV 24°/14° Lens
The FlexView 24°/14° lens is designed for detailed inspections of smaller or more distant targets. With the ability to switch between a standard 24° and a telephoto 14° FOV, this lens improves image clarity, making it perfect for tasks requiring accuracy at longer distances, such as electrical bus, robotic welders, or overhead connections.

Now you don’t have to carry an extra lens and risk dropping it or contaminating sensitive camera parts. Stay outside of arc flash zones while scanning critical assets at a safe distance.

With one lens and no hassle, you can capture both full targets at close distances and small targets at longer distances. The FlexView lens allows you to get more pixels on your target for high-quality data which allows you to improve decision making.
It’s not easy to change lenses on an autonomous robot. Flir FlexView allows you to capture a wide image of large targets, and instantly switch to a narrow lens for smaller targets at longer distances. Get the most accurate temperature measurements so you can make better decisions.

FlexView is easy to use across multiple compatible camera models. For handheld cameras, the switch on the lens will toggle between 14° and 24° or 24° and 42° field of view lenses in seconds. For A400/500/700 cameras, software commands perform the same function as the switch.
Field of View (FOV) refers to how much of a certain scene the camera can see all at once and from what distance. 42° degree is an extra wide-angle FOV and 24° is a wide-angle FOV, meaning you will be able to assess the scene in its entirety or at a larger scale. When you want to zoom in on a particular item, such as a hot spot, the FlexView lens allows you to switch to 14° FOV so you can clearly measure it from a distance.
Switching between thermal camera lenses usually involves swapping out physical wide-angle and telephoto lens. However, the FlexView makes it easy to toggle between the two without having to adjust anything on your camera aside from pushing a single button.
